Oh, you though that if you just yelled “PROM TICKETS FOR SALE” that students would show up in droves? Yeah that may work for Field of Dreams but you live in the School of Reality. You have to learn creative ways to get your students excited about their senior prom. There are a few blogs that make negative statements about the senior prom and its expense. Ok, those people probably haven’t been invited to a black tie event since their prom invitation. To me they are just bitter. Black tie event have a cost and a luxury feel to them. You feel better when you go to one. You look better when you go to one. Notice the red carpet for Hollywood is full of photographer checking out what the stars are wearing. Your stars are your students. Just yelling “PROM” isn’t going to get those sales up. Work to advertise and give your potential clients a buy in way before the prom and they will come in droves after you get them to buy in. Sales will be up and your event will be profitable. Go get ’em!!!
